School Performance Tracker

School Performance Tracker can be used by school administrators, school district administrators, commissioners of education or those in charge of managing schools on behalf of the government to check the performance and attendance of teachers and students in all primary, junior and senior secondary schools in the state. The user friendly monitoring systems gives school administrators timely access to disaggregated student achievement data in formats that are easily understood. The system can be used to create custom reports for students and teachers based on input criteria and large number of fields available in the system.

Based on the reports from the system, students can be easily identified when they need extra help and interventions and resources can be deployed to address student needs quickly. Failing teachers can also be identified, retrained and new teaching strategy deployed to affected schools. In addition, the system can be used as a means of communicating with the schools. The system notification services is trusted to send large volume of messages through SMS texts, email, web post, Facebook and Twitter directly from the system to a specific school, schools in a specific city or all schools in the state.  Further, approved messages can be sent to specific class teacher or student parent, to all teachers or student parents in a particular city or to all teachers or student parents in the state.

To achieve higher data collection accuracy, we will establish an Independent Monitoring and Data Collection Unit (IMDCU) on provincial level at each local government area of the state. Each monitoring and data collection officer will visit at least three schools a day and cover all schools falling in his/her area in a month. The information captured on a daily basis are fed to the monitoring system and can then be access by the school administrator via their phone, tablets, laptops, computers etc. connected to the internet. The monitoring and data collection officers in addition to collecting teachers and students data, can also report about the condition of school buildings and any other data required by the school administrators.
